Source Archive
Where this road begins, and how it is recorded.
DungeonRaiders.com is grounded in classic module play. The present chronicle begins with The Temple of Elemental Evil, and each public chapter follows events in the order they are actually played.
This is a chronicle, not a spoiler ledger. Entries are released as discoveries are earned, so readers travel with the company instead of reading ahead from an omniscient summary.
Primary Source
The Temple of Elemental Evil
The current cycle draws from The Temple of Elemental Evil as its adventure frame. In the early leaves of this archive, public knowledge stays close to Hommlet, the nearby roads, and the first names gathered in guarded conversation.
- The current public chronicle begins with The Temple of Elemental Evil, first published in 1985.
- The opening Hommlet arc is published as three chapters: A Good Inn and a Strange Village; The Church, the Grove, and the Road; and The Ghost of Hommlet.
- Published chapters are built from actual AI-DM session play, then shaped into readable narrative while preserving order and consequence.
What lies deeper in the module exists, but remains sealed in the public record until the company reaches it on the road.
Adaptation Method
From played session to readable chapter.
Each chapter begins in live AI-DM play, then is shaped into prose that preserves pacing, dialogue pressure, and character voice. The goal is not to transcribe every mechanic, but to keep what happened — and why it mattered — legible on the page.
- Chronology is preserved so consequences remain honest from chapter to chapter.
- Character dossiers and scene notes are updated only after events are publicly revealed.
- Major secrets, antagonists, and deeper locations are withheld until the story reaches them.
In short: this page names the foundation, while the chapters carry discovery forward in earned time.
